Sunday, Sept. 7 at 7PM  El Barrio Restaurant & Lounge on Diamond Lake Road north of Hwy 60 in Mundelein, IL, hosted by the venerable Lake County Folk Club as the kick off to their concert series.  Concerts are held on the first and third Sunday nights at El Barrio from Sept to May.  Summertime the concerts give way to make room for festivals and such, and then begin again in the fall.

 

El Barrio is on the west side of the road, just where the road gets close to Diamond Lake, somewhere around Maplewood Avenues or Shady Lane.  There is a modest cover charge and the food and beverage are good.  El Barrio Restaurant is at 1122 Diamond Lake Rd. , Mundelein , IL 60060 . Saturday, Oct 18th, 2:30-4:30 Cherry Lane Farm: In the hayloft of the barn you can buy hot dogs, drink hot cider, donuts, pies, and listen to live music.  This event spans three days, with vendors selling crafts, chocolates, woodworkings, baskets, candles...the list goes on.
